Volume of hymns beginning 'Awake my Soul' and ending with The Ode ('Grateful Notes and numbers bring'). The index suggests 28 items, 27 plus an Ode. The first eight items (pp.2-8) are here, but the next seven (pp.9-16) are omitted. Items 14-26 on pp.17-31 are present, but instead of items 26 'Glory be to God our King' and 27 'Why should you let' the following are included (pp.32-36): Anthem 1 'Praise ye the Lord'; Anthem 2 'Let us with a gladsome mind'; and Tunes to Psalms 1, 8 (or 23), 18, 104, 51, 121,112 7 127 (pp.34-6). Then follows (pp.37-40) the Ode 'Grateful notes and numbers bring while Jehovah's praise we sing' as indicated in the Index. All of which [info provided by D. Welch May 2002] might suggest a later date of printing.

There is no box but this roll is wrapped in tissue paper. and although repaired with black tape it looks workable. There is some pencil writing on the roll: "58 note roll | This roll is 10 1/16 inches wide | the standard 58 note organ rolls are 10 1/8 inches wide. Most of the Fyvie Castle rolls are/about 10 5/16 wide (for example Siegfried (Wagner) rolls, but many vary from 10 1/16 to 10 5/16th wide making tracking alignments impossible for all rolls.
